Summer 2024

Ball State University, Indiana

July 2, 2024

Zooming with students to talk about The Costs of Completion, which they read for their Community College Leadership Seminar! Many thanks to Dr. Amanda Latz for adopting the book!

And some REALLY BIG NEWS……

What’s so special about this award is that my mentor, Bob Alford won this very same award back in 1997. I was in the audience cheering him on.

As far as I know, we are two of three CUNY recipients of this award, and the only mentor-mentee pair!

And I’m the 2nd Community College recipient!!

Here’s the blurb from the Graduate Center, CUNY: https://www.gc.cuny.edu/news/alumna-third-cuny-professor-win-asa-teaching-award

And the one from BMCC: https://www.bmcc.cuny.edu/news/professor-robin-g-isserles-wins-distinguished-contributions-to-teaching-award-from-american-sociological-society/?fbclid=IwY2xjawE8p6VleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHcMYiiwxqvfNuX2RVz7a4S1yzx16lK4ohqsLoin1rYwpu-QTn31jReXwJw_aem_4eLvISWqPbB_rzQZVJ717A
